Warfare System Certification Analyst

International Systems Management Corp. (ISM) is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time position to execute the Naval Warfare Systems Certification Policy (NWSCP) and support the development and deployment of warfare systems throughout the life cycle of approximately 150 U.S. Navy Surface Ships in accordance with Warfare Systems Certification Standard Operating Policy (SOP) Revision “B”. This position, the Warfare System Certification Analyst, will support the assessment of warfare systems in U.S Navy Surface Ships through approximately 111 Warfare Systems Certification (WSCERT) Events (Warfare Systems Installation Authorizations (WSIA) and Warfare Systems Certification Decisions (WSCD)).

The Warfare System Certification Analyst will be responsible for supporting NAVSEA O5H certification efforts. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: maintenance of WSCERT Master Events Schedule; development of WSCERT Certification events, meeting agendas and reports; development of metrics briefings and item tracking reports; development of panel briefing, naval messages and executive summary briefings for WSCERT events; developing and providing technical inputs to WSIA warfare systems baseline configuration issues; and developing and providing technical inputs to WSIA and WSCD baseline configuration data-calls.

Required experience:

  • Experience with Navy Ships or Strike Group Combat and Warfare Systems
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of experience
  • Ability to express complex concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Highly motivated individual capable of working independently and/or in teams with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Active DoD security clearance

Desired experience:

  • Familiarity with certification of Navy Warfare Systems and USN Combat System
  • Familiarity with TCD Waiver Request and Ship Change Documentation
  • Familiarity with maintaining and accessing Objective Quality Evidence checklist
  • Familiarity with USN/DoD Naval Messages
  • Familiarity with building folders and mining data in SharePoint

The applicant must have the following minimum experience or qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Navy or DoD experience (Technical Discipline preferred)
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

The ideal candidate is dynamic and proactive in meeting customer needs and has the ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate activities across numerous organizations. The position will be located in Washington, DC and will require travel approximately less than 20% of the time.
