We are a full service financial services company offering securities brokerage, investment banking, advisory, and tax preparation and accounting services. We are seeking a Commissions Analyst to work at our Boca Raton, FL office.

The Commissions Analyst primarily supports various aspects of calculating Registered Representatives (RRs) commission compensation:

  • Ensure all commissions system data feeds are accurate and timely, performing daily, monthly and quarterly reconciliations
  • Act as commissions system expert on calculations, tables, and other components within the commissions system
  • Add new or change existing RRs payout and ticket fee schedules using Configuration Manager system; input based on signed RR agreements or management instructions
  • Enter and approve direct commission revenue data processed through Excel by Commissions Associate(s)
  • Research any commissions discrepancies, applying complex problem solving techniques and ensuring commission calculations comply with RR agreements
  • Analyze and reconcile RRs commission statements daily trade blotters as needed, includes understanding the various types of fees, adjustments (chargebacks) and overrides
  • Assist with FINRA and SEC audit inquiries
  • Perform other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the position

Minimum Position Qualifications and Requirements: Success in this position requires a strong understanding of the underlying principles of accounting with significant focus on reconciliation. In addition, a basic understanding of software development, data analyses, and SQL is required.

  • Education: College Graduate or equivalent work experience
  • Licenses: Not required; Prefer FINRA Series 99 (Operations Professional)
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years direct experience

Other Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated aptitude for technology, maintenance of system tables, understanding of database design and programming concepts
  • Demonstrated aptitude for accounting systems and technology, including; a strong knowledge of Excel, Adobe, and Word; experience with monthly closing processes
  • Knowledge and ability to write basic SQL queries to support department reporting needs and to respond to customer inquiries
  • Highly organized and proactive; ability to consistently meet deadlines and respond timely in matters of significance
  • Strong problem resolution skills
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Customer service driven; focus on meeting client needs creatively and in a timely manner while also protecting company interests
  • Some knowledge of FINRA Regulatory rules and the securities industry as it relates to the position
