This role will report to the Site Lead in Culture, Communications, & Events and be a part of the team that supports the Seattle office in cultivating connections between employees across a rapidly growing site through execution of various events and programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages event logistics, and execution for office social events using budget and strategy defined for Site and HR Company Events
Owns planning, logistics, and execution for local Company Events using company-defined HR budget
Works with Office Lead to organize calendar of events
Leads event production for office-wide Tech Events such as Hackathons, Seafair, in partnership with event host(s)
Hires and manages event production vendors as needed using budget for individual events (ex: holiday party, summer party)
Collects feedback from attendees, hosts event debriefs, and compiles data on events to inform future planning efforts
Tracks a budget and maintains close contact with finance partners to ensure efficient use of resources
Partners with Office Lead, Facilities Team, and other stakeholders to influence and inform on event space needs for office growth
Enters and manages purchase orders, vendor onboarding, and SOW creation in partnership with finance
Manages Seattle-branded Swag ordering, stocking, and distribution
Collaborate with partners across region and influences/leads regional vision for events
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in event planning for groups exceeding 2,000 employees/budgets exceeding 1 million
Experience managing budgets
Analytical and data-driven experience in solving problems
Experience taking direction and input to develop event strategies that are engaging, innovative and will achieve the site goals
Knowledge of regional venues, activities, and events resources
Experience building cross-functional relationships between departments
Experience multi-tasking
Experience working and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Negotiation experience
Experience in using Microsoft Office Programs, Adobe Photoshop, Keynote, Outlook, Event, and Registration Tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Corporate or Agency event management experience
Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task across concurrent priority projects
Experience changing direction quickly
Comfortable working through ambiguity and uncertainty
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills in person, over the phone, and via email
