The Fire Department, City of New York (FDNY), seeks a full-time Public Record Aide in Human Resources. Reporting directly to the Absence Control Unit Supervisor, the successful candidate will: Review weekly reports and files records from Bureaus in order for the Absence Control Unit to track related documents and allow access for retrieval as necessary. Maintain and track conference forms for placement in the employee's personnel record. Collect and retrieve all employee/ supervisory conference records for disbursement and archiving. Maintain and track employees on Sanction Status to update their respective excessive absence records. Provide administrative support in generating and preparing reports (including quarterly and any ad hoc reports) to update record library. Review and analyze absence control reports for corrective actions. Process and document noncompliance notifications.
Minimum Qual Requirements
1. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of full-time experience in the receiving, retrieving, distributing or disposing of records, archival or library materials; or
2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college; or
3. A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent.
