What You Will Do
Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas is the only dedicated freestanding pediatric facility in the region. Serving a 46-county area and beyond, Dell Children’s is the premier healthcare provider for children and adolescents in Central Texas.
Dell Children’s is the only Pediatric Level I Trauma Center in Central Texas and one of only five in all of Texas. It is one of an elite group of children’s hospitals that offer the highest level of care available to children who have been victims of trauma. Working as a Newborn and Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse, you will handle a variety of patient calls and handle urgent/emergent walk-ins that include medication questions, and triaging symptoms. You will play a vital role by ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care and taking initiative on opportunities to educate and provide care instructions.

Achieving Magnet designation requires satisfying a demanding set of criteria which measure the strength and quality of nursing and an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. What You Will Need
Experienced nurses - we have a place for you. Our contract nurses will be expected to hit the ground running. As such, we do require 2 years’ experience in the desired specialty area.
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required
2 years of nursing experience preferred
