Summary:
Reporting directly to the President & CEO of the Foundation, the Financial Analyst is responsible for the organization and management of all financial activity of the Foundation. The Analyst will provide support, direction, and information as required for the Foundation staff. Areas of responsibility include: preparing and developing yearly budget, reconciling Raiser's Edge database to General Ledger, managing cash flow and needs, understanding of fundraising and gift entry, and helping with database entry as time permits. Manages the restricted gifts and coordinates the transfer of those gifts to the Beebe Healthcare. Works will all of the Foundation team with budgeting, expense management, and income projections.

Other information:
Four years or more accounting experience. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge and Lawson preferred. Two years accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Attention to detail. Able to work independently. Able to multi-task and maintain complete accuracy.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for accurate accounting records with all bookkeeping tasks completed accurately and timely. General ledger (read only) and the Raiser's Edge database are to actively reconciled. Manages receivables - preparing pledge reminders, working with major gift team to be sure gifts are made promptly, overseeing that all pledges are accurately documented and gifts are recorded as required by tax laws. Prepares expense reconciliations prior to being sent to Accounts Payable for payment. Breaks down all expenses by category. Develops annual budget working with Foundation team members to establish and working with President/CEO and Board Treasurer for final approval. Serves as a back up to the Database Manager for gift entry. Assists with data entry and special projects in the database. Helps with prospect research. Prepares President's comparative report in a timely manner. Prepares Campaign Outlook report and all board reports required. Prepares and certifies accuracy of required federal, state, and other regulatory tax and financial reports (excluding 990). Establishes and maintains accounts for endowments and restricted funds. Prepares monthly reports for endowment donors. Manages investment accounts and ensures the breakdown of accounts is accurate. Works at special fundraising events by overseeing registration and tabulation of sales / cashiering. Actively manages cash to be sure funds are available as needed and invested appropriately. At the direction of the BMF Board of Directors, implements financial transfers of securities and other related transactions. Maintains a high degree of motivation and superior work ethic consistent with the philosophy of the Foundation and contributing to the team effort. Performs all tasks as requested by the President/CEO of the Foundation and CFO of Beebe Healthcare.
