Samsung’s unique first party data help brands connect to their audience as they explore content across desktop, mobile, tablets and our Smart TVs. The Samsung Ad platform delivers high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components: first-party audience data at scale, world-class data science, and brand-safe cross-device ad inventory.
We’re looking for an innovative individual to support the Samsung Ads Analytics and Insights team. This full-time position will manage 3rd party data partners on behalf of the US team and will collaborate with teams in the EU and in other global markets to form a cohesive data partner strategy.
The candidate will lead partnership discussions with 3rd party data partners, including buiding a pipeline of new vendor exploration, partner screening, selection, integration, and ongoing relationship management. In addition, the role will create repeatable processes for, and manage, the key projects in a partner lifecycle, such as: Blind Matches (crosswalks), RFI / RFP, Exposure Reports to 3rd Party Vendors, Lift Studies, and Contractual Arrangements (including legal and financial sign off).
The candidate will also be responsible for documentation (internal reference and education), providing positioning input to Product Marketing, and managing related budgets
Candidate must be organized, detailed oriented, flexible, transparent and possess ability to establish priorities with minimal guidance in a fast paced environment The candidate should have a strong technical fluency in the current advertising technology such as cloud-based storage concepts and analytic tools. Finally, the candidate should have a knowledge of the adtech data marketplace and should be familiar with many of the major vendors.
Candidates must have prior data vendor management experience.
Role and Responsibilities
Maintain program of first and third party data partnerships
Support integrations, implementation, and seller education
Manage partner performance and collaboration
Aid in documentation
Define needs fulfilled by each partner
Direct partner onboarding processes across multiple teams
Maintain day to day operational integrity of each integration
Direct the creation of GTM materials for each partner, with product marketing
Create and maintain cross-functional standard operating procedures for partners
Lead partner QBRs, set performance KPIs, monitor use and expenditure
Prioritize partner enhancements
Provide input to Product and Engineering on technology needs
Communicate directly with primary stakeholders, and ensure that deliveries meet expectations
Skills and Qualifications
Learnings in computer science/engineering or quantitative discipline (Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics) - preferred but not required.
8+ years of relevant work experience
5+ years’ experience in data licensing and targeting
5+ years’ experience in digital media
Extensive experience with major data vendors strongly preferred
Digital / addressable targeting
ROI / attribution reporting
Understand and communicate targeting value propositions
Partner and internal stakeholder consulting and support
Ability to facilitate complex internal projects across multiple stakeholders
Relationship management skills to build relationships with our business partners
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects (multi-task in a fast-paced environment)
Ability to work well independently and be self-motivated
Work collaboratively across departments to refine team processes, standards, tools
Experience in a corporate environment and interdepartmental communications required
Experience with AWS tools such as S3
Familiarity with Agile software development methodology
Familiarity with media, TV measurement – a plus.
