The IT Security Analyst will be a member of the IT Security Engineering team reporting to the IT Security Engineering Manager. Responsibilities include analysis and support activities to support security engineering, install, maintain and troubleshoot security hardware and software solutions to protect the Ace Hardware Corporate IT environment. The role also consists of applying core knowledge and skills to assist team members in the analysis, design, testing and deployment of standard security controls within the enterprise.
Technology platforms supported include:
CheckPoint firewall infrastructure (URL filtering, Application Control, IDS/IPS, VPN/SSLvpn, SmartSuite)
F5 Technologies (Local Traffic Manager, Access Policy Manager, Application Security Manager)
Security Information Event Management platforms (SIEM)
End Point Protection, Encryption and Advanced Threat Protection
What you’ll do:
Installation, support and troubleshooting of next generation firewall and security hardware / software platforms
Continuously improve and expand existing security technologies
Coordinate and provide technical support to application teams and business partners
Respond to and resolve security incidents
Contribute to the continual enhancement of Ace’s IT security infrastructure program through the expansion and enforcement of governance, core processes and organizational awareness
Contribute to the vision and strategy for enterprise security networking solutions
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor degree in Cyber Security or related Computer Science program
0-1 years of experience or comparable education/training involved in IT Security, consulting, or solution delivery (research, design, build, deploy, operation and support) practices
Require technical experience with security control architecture design and solution delivery
Skills & Competency Requirements
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio required
Technical knowledge of threat, vulnerability, log, and identity/access management is preferred
Solid fundamental understanding of key server technology and networking infrastructure concepts, technologies, protocols and solutions is preferred
The ability to research and solve moderately complex security and networking challenges
This person must have the personal skills to cooperate and communicate with other team members primarily to generate security policy and risk awareness training and education
