Consulting Associate – Packaging, Tires or Raw Materials
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Consulting Associate to join our highly successful and growing consultancy business. The role is new in the business due to growth.
Required skillsets, education & experience
An MBA with a concentration in corporate strategy or finance
Proven experience in consultancy market sizing projects
Three years of experience as an associate/consultant in a market research or corporate development function or with a market research or strategy consulting firm
Two to four years’ experience with the packaging, tire or raw materials industries is essential
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate logically, succinctly, precisely and clearly both in written form and verbally
Data translation and analysis using Excel functionality
Ability to synthesize data and facts into a clear logical story that includes clear conclusions and recommendations
Ability to read financial statements and create economic and financial models from scratch
Familiarity with Porter’s Five Forces and other industry and market analysis framework
Ability to coordinate across a number of contributors and manage multiple projects/tasks to hard deadlines
Polished presentation and client interaction skills
Ability to travel 20%-30% of the time
As Consulting Associate, you will be responsible for providing a high-level consultancy service to our current and potential client base, especially in the Packaging, Tires or Raw Materials. To be successful in the role you will need to be able to convey credible advice and innovative solutions within a technical environment. You will work closely with our customers to discuss those solutions and put forward sound proposals that help us to win business. In addition to delivering on your consultancy projects, you must be able to assist in building and managing your sales pipeline. It is essential that you are confident being the “face” of the company and can quickly build credibility in and outside the organisation, as you will be required to speak at important industry events. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about what they do; as a crucial part of your role will be staying up to date with industry trends and being a thought leader. Some of your main objectives will include:
- To assist in selling, winning and delivering high-margin jobs to budget and on time
- To deliver individual target (revenue and profit) on consultancy projects
- To develop the consultancy business with new products and services into new markets
