Banc of California Stadium Entertainment (BOCSE) is responsible for the booking and operation of all events at Banc of California Stadium, other than MLS matches of the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), including: headline music concerts, radio shows, music festivals, and multi-cultural music events; international, national and local sporting events; a wide range of special events with top brands and Fortune 500 companies such as corporate, convention, trade, and brand communication events; charity events and fundraisers; public events at the national, regional and local level; experiential events and installations; fairs and festivals; and private events and celebrations. In addition to events at Banc of California Stadium, BOCSE will also host large scale concerts and sports events at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and multi-stage, large scale music festivals incorporating the Stadium, the Coliseum, and adjacent grounds of Exposition Park. Banc of California Stadium is a brand new 23,000 capacity venue located in the heart of Los Angeles in Exposition Park. It is also the home of the Los Angeles Football Club.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Special Events Manager ensures the success of stadium special events by serving as the liaison between the stadium operating departments and the client. Responsibilities will include management of all special event details, participate in capturing additional revenue through auxiliary services; while ensuring labor savings measures are followed. Coordinates and communicates all aspects of special event details. Professionalism, accuracy, attention to detail, communication skills, ability to multi-task, positive attitude and dedicated work ethic is critical.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage the planning, execution and supervision of assigned events to include sales, negotiations and client satisfaction.
Communicate all group specifications and history to the appropriate operational departments. Ensure that all specifications are implemented and executed to established guidelines.
Accurately forecast group revenues according to established guidelines.
Ensure the proper use of function space.
Maximize group revenue by referring available goods, services, attractions, and sub-contractors.
Proactively up-selling to customer needs.
Plan and develop BEO’s, resumes (production notes), agendas, and services utilizing the Sales and Event system according to client requirements and established guidelines.
Manage client satisfaction through the smooth execution of all assigned events.
Ensure that all special events adhere to stadium policies, fire department regulations, and other applicable government regulations.
Assist Event Sales team with site visits.
Finalize and review all billing for actualized special events.
Good follow through; taking client events from contract to successful completion.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related business discipline, or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of 2 years event management experience required.
Banquet experience highly desired.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Great computer and administration skills
Passion for hospitality.
Takes ownership and accountability of projects and events.
Highly resourceful, organized, personable, refined and positive interpersonal skills required.
Ability to foresee customer needs and develop long-lasting client relationships while working with high-end customers, brands and clients.
Creative thinker; creating themes and upscale events for our customers.
Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings.
Proficiency in the following software required; MS Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint, Delphi (or equivalent event management sales system).
