Elwood Staffing is seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk. This position
will primarily support customer invoicing, payments, collections, and
vendor payables as well as our customers and vendors to ensure optimal
results. This is a temp-to-hire oppoertbuiy. The starting salary is
$14-$16 hr DOE and the hours are Monday through Friday, 7am-3:30pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generate customer invoices based on quotes, customer purchase orders,
or past pricing.Post customer payments into Quickbooks and research
any discrepancies.

Handle all accounts receivable collections including establishing
payment plans.

Enter vendor invoices relating to cost of goods sold into Quickbooks.

Work closely with other departments to resolve any customer issues or
obtain additional information needed for invoicing.

Critically research any customer invoices which have problems and
cannot generate an invoice for various reasons. * High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance
  • A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
  • Strong internal customer focus and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Proficient in Quickbooks)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral
communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing
environment

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to learn new software programs with efficiency
  • Sense of urgency to get customer invoicing turned around promptly
