The Human Resources Coordinator provides overall administrative support for the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Coordinator will assist employees and managers with requests for information, work closely with employees to resolve employee issues and answer concerns / questions, and will have heavy employee contact.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:
Assist the Human Resources Manager with administrative support

Initiate New Hire Paperwork

Maintain new hire paperwork and prepare new employee files

Maintain personnel and other Human Resource files

Review attendance and report to HR Manager potential issues

Maintain various HR databases and other computerized files

HRIS Entry including new employees, disciplinary actions and employee status changes

Schedule & Coordinate interviews

Payroll responsibility including weekly approvals, adding new employees in system and inactivating terminated employees

Process shoe and safety glass Reimbursement request

Assist and coordinate various employee events

Preparation & Coordination of New Employee Orientation & other HR Meetings

Processing Invoices

Maintenance of Human Resources Bulletin Boards

Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Hiring Practices.

Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field

3 - 5 years of related experience

Ability to handle telephone calls and employee requests in a professional manner

Must possess strong organizational and communication skills

Must be proficient in PC Applications including spreadsheets or databases

Ability to handle multiple tasks

General knowledge of Human Resource responsibilities and functions

Ability to quickly grasp new concepts

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to handle changing priorities and heavy workloads

Ability to be careful and thorough about details

Ability to analyze information and use logic and process to address work-related issues and problems

Ability to work in team or individual environment to meet objectives and deadlines
