Director, Client Insights & Analysis

This role collaborates with our Information Technology, Data Management, Business Analysis and Business Intelligence teams as well as partners closely with Sales and Marketing Leadership to enable business results through data science!
This position is open to the Kansas City MO and New York NY locations as well as Remote.
What you will do
Lead, develop, and support a team of Data Scientists in a hands-on manner to innovate across sales and marketing to improve efficiency and results
Drive innovation throughout our data-driven culture
Oversee a team partnering with decision-makers to identify business objectives, data sources and analytical methodologies, identify and define business issues and goals, and convert them into appropriate objectives and strategies
Recommend solutions to decision-makers to solve for business problems using various data sources and analytical methods
Participate in client-based cross functional teams to identify business issues, research needs, project planning
Advise and provide insight to Global Distribution on client and prospect behavior, segmentation, statistical and ML models and measurable enablement to drive business results
Explore and understand all data sources and have a clear understanding of the methodology behind the analysis and model building
Verify and govern statistical and ML models; ensure desired outcomes of analytical output continue to be achieved

Ability to learn technical software applications and statistical and ML techniques
Understands the latest techniques in statistical and ML data analysis and committed to staying abreast of new techniques in the field
Required Experience/Education
Masters or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or other analytical related field required
10+ years of experience building and implementing statistical and ML models.
5+ years of experience managing a team of Data Scientists
Excellent problem solving, analytical and quantitative analysis skills.
Experience working with senior management in presenting and making recommendations
Experience working within AWS and related cloud-based analytical platforms
Experience with SAS, R, Python or other statistical software language/application
Experience with SQL in data warehouse environment
Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Experience/Education
Knowledge of Financial Services / Asset Management industry
BI data visualization experience (e.g., Tableau)
