The Senior Medical Science Liaison, Medical Affairs (MA) is a field-based role that reports to the Director Medical Science Liaisons and assists in developing MA strategy and supports MA projects and deliverables. This is a field-based position that will provide field medical support RGX-314 clinical trials and REGENXBIO scientific collaborations. Assists with planning and executing advisory boards, managing KOL advisors, KOL collaborations and providing medical support at congresses.


Respond to medical questions about REGENXBIO’s trials and products
Act as the field Medical Affairs representative to develop relationships and to establish and manage scientific collaborations
Provide clinical expertise and serves as a conduit to bring in feedback regarding clinical and operational issues within clinical trials
Provide clinical expertise in the development, management and maintenance of clinical and scientific communications, including research, publications, and educational materials, meeting presentations
Establish relationships with national thought leaders and investigators
Assist with surgeon training (wet labs), assessment of training and qualification program
Provide internals and surgeon feedback and assist with re-training when necessary
Assist with clinical trial recruitment and site outreach to support and bring feedback to the Clinical Operations and Clinical Development team
Assists with slide development for MA slide decks
Attend medical conferences as MA representative, assist with congress planning, strategy, medical booths and meeting summaries
Supports Clinical Development on strategy and problem solving across teams
Leads clinical competitive intelligence activities and develops internal FAQs
Maintains scientific and clinical knowledge in the therapeutic areas
Thought leader mapping and strategy development
Assistance with planning and executing advisory board meetings
Expected to make important contributions to the MA strategy across therapeutic areas


Doctorate level or masters required (MD, PharmD, PhD, MPH or equivalent) with at least 5 years of MSL and/or Retina Ophthalmology research experience. Therapeutic area expertise preferred in: Retina, Ophthalmology and/ or gene therapy. Position is field based.

This is a field-based position
Must be able to travel 50-70% of the time
