Position Title / Facility Information:

Hidden Valley Country Club located in Sandy, Utah is currently seeking a Clubhouse Manager to join and Lead the Food & Beverage operation.

Hidden Valley is a 27-hole private member owned facility located at the foothills of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. Approximately 15 miles southeast of Salt Lake City, the Hidden Valley area is located just minutes from several world class ski resorts and an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities. The area is also close in proximity to several colleges and universities, including the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. Salt Lake City was put on the world map after hosting the 2002 Winter Olympics. As a result of welcoming the world, the greater Salt Lake and Park City areas have expanded upon their sporting and cultural venues that have become the envy of the intermountain region.

In 2001, a 44,000 square foot Clubhouse was completed which can accommodate 300 people for private dining and up to 200 for member dining with incredible mountain and valley views. In 2016 the club invested and built a state-of-the-art Cabana and Pool Complex for its Members. The club has a very active membership with an average age of 57. In-Season there are four food & beverage outlets in operation.

Reports to: General Manager/COO

Department Head: Will serve with a team of 5 other department heads (Controller, Head Professional, Superintendent, Director of Maintenance, Executive Chef)

Supervise: Supervises up to 50+ full and part time employees, including Dining Manager, Assistant Manager & Pool Manager including lifeguards.
In-season managers can work more than 60+ hours a week, while enjoying work weeks under 40 hours in the off-season.

The Clubhouse Manager will be directly responsible for the club’s dining services and all food and beverage production throughout the club, including managing all Banquet events with a hands-on approach. While this position is responsible for daily operations, it also requires a creative, strategic thinker who will interface well with other department team members to maintain and find ways to enhance the service standards at the club. He/She will also oversee the Pool Facility/Swimming operations and will work closely on a day to day basis with the General Manager/COO, to ensure the club is exceeding member expectations. Staff development including hiring, training, supervising, disciplining and motivating are critical responsibilities of this position. The ability to develop, cultivate and retain a motivated, skillful service team is required. Heavy interaction with membership and staff is expected.

The daily practice/demonstration of service standards is the responsibility of the Clubhouse Manager.

This position will actively assist the COO in the formulation of yearly operating budgets for all areas within

this position's scope of duties.

  • Must have experience in a resort or private club setting with both a la carte and banquet dining

  • Is willing to put in the time, effort, and dedication to make it happen for the membership.
  • Emphasizes a “member first” service culture. Servicing a member is never an inconvenience!
  • Serves on the House committee as a non-voting member.
  • Required to attend weekly staff meetings.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Educational and/or Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school preferred but not required
  • Minimum three years management experience
  • Club experience is strongly preferred, but not required

Salary & Benefits:

Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 DOE (year-round, full-time, Exempt position)
