JOB POSTING Deputy Sheriff PT
Deputy Sheriff (Part Time). Starting wage is $18.82 per hour.
Applicants must:
· be 21 years of age.
· be a resident of Pennsylvania; Warren County preferred, or willing to meet these residency requirements upon hiring.
· meet and/or pass the physical readiness standards and tests.
· Successfully complete an MMPI psychological evaluation
· possess a valid Driver’s License. Pennsylvania Driver’s License required upon hiring.
· Able to safely utilize and meet the requirements of firearms qualification for handgun, shotgun and AR-15 style patrol rifle; and meet proficiency standards regarding related law enforcement equipment and duty gear.
· be willing and able to work all shifts assigned; day, evening and night.
· be able to pass an extensive background investigation, to include a criminal history and financial investigation.
Applicant(s) who are hired must attend the Pennsylvania Deputy Sheriff’s Training Academy and must successfully complete the training before obtaining official Deputy certification. This will require a nineteen (19) week basic training course which includes physical and scholastic standards that must be met. Those applicants who currently possess Act 2 certification will need to provide proof thereof. Act 120-certified persons (PA certified Police Officers) must only attend a two (2) week waiver training.
