About the role:
The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer service, performing preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices located at our customer sites. The customer base for this role is anticipated to be a combination of municipal (i.e., drinking and wastewater treatment facilities) and industrial (i.e., power plants and food and beverage plants).
This is a fully remote position that will be dispatched from your home office and should be located in the Greater Memphis, TN area.
In this role, you will:
- Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.
- Promotes a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems.
- Submits prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.
- Follows safe work practices according to company policy.
- Executes administrative activities in support of service visits.
- 60-75% travel within a 120+ mile radius of Memphis, TN. You can expect to have up to 6-8 nights away each month with company-paid accommodations and meals.
Are you qualified?
- Associate/Technical degree preferred, or combination of education and experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a must - experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair helpful, but not required
- You have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required
- 1 or more years of field service experience and/or customer facing roles preferred

Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
