YANMAR America is seeking a Sales Training Instructor for the EVO//Center located in Acworth, GA. The Sales Training Instructor is responsible for the design, development, and presentation of blended sales training programs on YANMAR’s Agricultural or Construction Equipment products. The incumbent will work cooperatively with the Ag/CE Division, YANMAR Japan (YJ), and other Regional Headquarters to develop the training programs focused towards dealers, OEM’s, YANMAR employees and customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop sales training programs on YANMAR’s Ag or CE products for dealers, OEM’s, and YA employees including ILT courses, eLearning courses, mobile and social learning courses, and more.
Develop support materials and class manuals for distribution at training classes.
Deliver training content development in the areas of:
1) Feature, Function and Benefits of YANMAR products, 2) Competitive Comparisons, 3) Competitive Selling, and 4) Proper Demonstrations.
Produce content via blending learning formats such as PowerPoint, videos, webinars, MP4, social media, and print following the published Gate Process and timeline.
Produce product sales videos to support the four subject areas.
Produce product videos for end-use customers on proper operation, unit general operation, and attachment usage.
Monitor division, field staff, and industry feedback to be proactive in offering suggestions for curricula additions and changes.
Assist with the tactical plan, budget, catalog, class schedules, units required, etc. as needed.
Work cooperatively with the Ag or CE Division, YJ, and other Regional Headquarters to develop training and support material products.
Support dealer trainers and dealer training programs.
Travel to dealers and OEM’s to provide onsite sales training for sales personnel.
Assist with developing and managing the training budget.
Train division staff, including field staff, and provide pre-developed programs for field usage.
Assist with the production and distribution of sales training bulletins.
Assist with other projects as requested.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Familiar with YANMAR’s Agricultural or Construction product’s design and features.
Ability to guide adults through learning presentations for high retention.
Ability to operate or learn how to operate YANMAR products.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to understand the worksite surroundings to ensure safety of self and others.
Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years of sales training experience on equipment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Familiar with development software is a plus, such as Articulate 360, FrameMaker, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Light machine duties such as fueling, daily maintenance checks, attaching/detaching implements.
Experience with adult learning/education is preferred.
Experience with a corporate university and/or dealer network is a plus.
Experience in training design, development, and evaluation is desired.
Maintain valid driver’s license and passport.
Must be able to travel as needed domestically and internationally, up to 20%.
