Senior Systems Administrator (Linux)
Administer Linux and UNIX operating systems, including provisioning applications for a large federal client and managing large PaaS based on Kubernetes across several domains. Research and document security issues, including dealing with setting up and managing system security controls. Manage the POAM documentation process. Evaluate system problems of workflow, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action. Perform quality control of processes and products produced. Assist with the formulation of technical strategies and processes for administered systems. Write, interpret, and analyze technical documentation regarding system administration and provide consulting support to internal and external working groups and committees as a substantive authority in the subject area, when required.
Minimum years of experience: 12 years of relevant work experience with high school diploma or GED; or 10 years of relevant work experience with Associates degree; or 8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors of Science or Bachelors of Art; or 6 years of relevant work experience with a Masters of Science or Masters of Arts; or 4 years of relevant work experience with a PhD degree.
Must have at least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in the software development and information technology field surrounding automation of the process of software delivery and infrastructure changes in an agile fashion, or possess a relevant certification plus one (3) year experience.
Experience with scripting languages, including bash, cron, Python, perl, and ruby
Experience with AWS
Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Apache Mesos, Swarm or YARN
Experience with virtualization and networking
TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance
Knowledge of methodology and federal information system policies, including NIST 800.53, FISMA, the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and configuration management
Knowledge of analyzing static code and supporting the remediation of findings from code scans
Knowledge of database technologies, including Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL
Knowledge of Java frameworks, including Spring, Hibernate, and JSPs
Knowledge of DoD software development practices
Knowledge of static code analysis capabilities
Knowledge of DoD information assurance and security policies
