The Energy team has an opening for a Senior Building Analyst.
Location: Chicago
Position Summary
The Senior Building Analyst will work across the ‘Smart Design’ and ‘Building Optimization’ teams which sit within DLR Group’s Energy Sector.
The successful candidate will
Act as the primary client leader for a variety of energy, engineering, building optimization and high-performance design projects.
Work on building, campus and city-wide projects such as energy, carbon and sustainability masterplanning and net-zero building design projects.
Work with Integrated Design teams of Architects, Engineers and specialty designers, providing mechanical engineering expertise on projects across DLR Group’s core sectors.
Work as a smart building design consultant on projects across DLR Group’s core sectors.
Work as part of the Building Analytics team to develop customized building optimization software applications.
Manage project execution and client expectations to adhere to budget, schedule, and scope.
Develop communicate and update project plans including information such as project objectives, technical specifications, schedules, and staffing.
Direct or coordinate activities of project personnel, vendors and consultants.
Provide technical feedback in the conceptual development of project documents.
Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Provide training and mentorship to staff and emerging engineers.
Perform the code review for more complex applications.
Perform a QA/QC review of the project deliverables.
Work with marketing and business development teams to develop scope and fee for new project opportunities.
Support business development initiatives by participating in RFP and interview processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Professional Licensure.
10+ years of professional experience working in the design industry.
Must have a comprehensive understanding of codes, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to technically support the design disciplines in developing technical solutions.
Must be a strong communicator, collaborative, detail oriented, and organized.
Preferred Qualifications
LEED Accredited Professional.
Commissioning qualification (ACG, BCA or ASHRAE).
