Staff Software Engineer, Tool and Test Framework Development

At PlayStation, we are looking for engineers to join a global initiative in robust test automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing Test frameworks and tools to test applications running on PlayStation 4, mobile devices and other flagship Sony devices and services.
  • Working with console developers to define and implement test automation system architectures
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge
  • At least five years or equivalent experience with a compiled language (C/C++/C#/Java)
  • At least four years or equivalent experience in either testing of JavaScript user interfaces
  • Experience with version control solutions (both centralized and distributed)
  • Experience writing command-line scripts using either Node.js or Python
  • Proven experience designing and creating developer tools
  • Experience developing or testing a non-PC device (phone/game console/set-top box, etc.)
  • Experience with at least one modern web application framework such as Angular/Ember.js/React
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Significant experience with both Node.js and Python
  • Experience working with network protocols at the socket level
  • Experience with Selenium or Appium
  • Experience with React Native
  • Experience creating testing frameworks
  • Experience developing or writing test code for a game console
