Land Development Superintendent

The Land Development Superintendent will prepare, maintain, execute and monitor the site development schedule to complete the assigned community on time, within budget, and with high standards of workmanship. Responsibilities to include:

  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractor and utility companies’ work to stay with or keep ahead of building schedule.
  • Perform site visits to each community.
  • Coordinate work of land development and utility contractors with the community teams.
  • Evaluate and adjust land development schedules to reflect actual operations.
  • Review and approve all land development invoices.
  • Manage the land development variance purchase order process.
  • Schedule and perform required inspections with municipal inspectors and utilities’ representatives.
  • Direct trade partner punch list work as necessary to ensure timely bond reductions/releases and Association Transitions.
  • Conduct daily inspections of subcontractors’ and utilities’ work to ensure it is performed according to schedule, building codes, plans, specifications, and standards of quality.
  • Support division and department goals and objectives.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and or least 5 years of field-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Successful candidate must maintain a valid driver's license with insurance.

Candidate must proactively face challenges while being committed to providing customers with excellent services and products. The capacity for creating focus while under pressure and maintaining a high level of ethics and integrity in all dealings is required. This individual must be counted on to meet and/or exceed goals and provide Associates with information so accurate decisions can be made. Practicing attentive and active listening is a necessity for this position.
