This position is responsible for the review and maintenance of leases, contracts and other legal documents ensuring land data is accurately captured in the land system of record, lease and contractual obligations are met and PDC Energy’s rights are protected under limited supervision of Lease Records Supervisor or other designated staff.

Review and approve leases, contracts and other legal documents in the land system of record to ensure critical obligations, provisions, payment information, and acreage is captured accurately;
Ensure timely and accurate payment of bonus, extension, rental, shut-in and minimum royalties;
Monitor monthly obligations and expirations;
Train and develop Lease Records staff;
Create and maintain departmental process and procedures;
Coordinate closely with Land, Division Orders, Business Development and Accounting to ensure proper workflow and assist with special projects;
Assist Lease Records Supervisor with SEC reporting requirements and audits;
Assist Lease Records Supervisor with land system implementation, upgrades and enhancements;
Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required at direction of Land Records Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
The specific minimum competencies required for job performance.
Strong knowledge of duties of Lease Analyst and functions of Lease Records Department and the experience to perform same;
Experience in researching well and production information through COGCC, Texas Railroad Commission and BLM websites;
Ability to resolve complex problems independently;
Strong knowledge and understanding of critical obligations, provisions and payments in regards to oil & gas leases, contracts and other legal documents;
Strong technical knowledge, analytical expertise and attention to detail;
Proven ability to ensure work is accurate, completed timely with controls adequate for safeguarding assets;
Ability to work well with others or independently;
Proven ability to modify or generate ad-hoc reports;
Excellent oral , written communication and customer service skills;
Colorado and Texas land experience preferred.

Typically 12+ years of experience;
High School Diploma required, a College Degree preferred;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required;
Proficiency in Spotfire, Merrick, WellView and Aries preferred;
Land database experience required, BOLO experience strongly preferred.
