o Prepare journal entries, supporting schedules, account reconciliations and month end reporting.
o Prepare and distribute monthly reports by department to facilitate the SG&A cost monitoring process.
o Prepare and update the AAM corporate month-end closing calendar.
o Interface and work collaboratively with other Corporate Finance functions.
o Assist in the development of the monthly financial forecasts, annual budget and long range financial plan (LRFP) for SG&A.
o Perform day to day financial activities such as researching general ledger activity, and analyzing actual, budget and forecast information.
o Participate in projects/activities to improve the quality and timeliness of financial processes.
o Produce and analyze accounting information and other reports for management decision-making.
o Provide support to internal and external auditors during quarterly and year-end audits.
o Perform other duties as assigned.
o Undergraduate Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
o 1 – 3 years of experience in Accounting/Finance/Economics
o Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statements.
Self-starter with an attention to detail and an ability to complete projects start-to-finish.
o Advanced PC proficiency, including at least intermediate skills in word processing and spreadsheet analysis.
o Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills (i.e., for presentations, meeting facilitation, etc.).
o Experience applying GAAP in a manufacturing environment.
o Working knowledge of Oracle ERP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
o Experience working in a global public company.
