QC Terme spas are experiential destination day spas that are typically fit-out in historical buildings but can be built from the ground up, in unique locations with beautiful views. The spas feature various forms of hydro therapeutic, thermal, and sense-stimulating pools that encompass about 30-35 experiences per spa.
QC NY are seeking passionate, sincere, Bartenders, who are able to deliver fantastic food and beverage experiences for our guests. Our beautiful NY Spa is located on Governors Island only 8 minutes by ferry. We offer free transport via ferry to the Island. We are offering full time, part time flexible schedules.
Job Summary:
QC NY Bartenders are responsible for our customers’ beverage and food experiences. Bartenders are responsible for ensuring the bars are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting drink options, serving beverages and food. Bartenders will need to be quick and energetic and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, our Spa is for you!
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for spa guests.
- Prepare and plate food and take food orders.
- Interact with customers, take orders make drinks and prepare food.
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
- Plan and present food and beverage menu.
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
- Restock and replenish bar, food inventory and supplies.
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Prior experience as a bartender and server.
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
- Computer literacy.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
- Able to work long hours as sometimes required.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Possession of or the ability to possess all state required work cards.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred. College, culinary or bartending education beneficial.
Physical Requirements:
- The physical activity of this position includes, but is not limited to: climbing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pulling, lifting, grasping, twisting and sitting.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
