The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to business leaders and departments within an organization, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. They are responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that support the overall goals of the company while fostering a positive work environment and employee engagement.
Role and Responsibilities

Act as subject matter expert in HRIS system SKWARD for The Excel Center.

Deliver TEA compensation and benefits to new hires.

Collaborate with business leaders to understand organizational goals and objectives.

Develop HR strategies and initiatives that align with business priorities and drive organizational success.

Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, managers and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.

Handle employee relations issues, such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.

Coach managers on effective leadership practices.

Implement retention strategies to attract and retain top talent, including career development programs, training initiatives, and employee engagement activities.

Provide guidance to managers on setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and providing feedback. Facilitate performance management process.

Develop and implement performance improvement plans as needed, ensuring fair and consistent performance management practices.

Identify training needs and partner with Learning & Development department to connect team members with appropriate training modules.

Stay updated on HR laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance.

Assist with developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and promote a fair and inclusive workplace.

Collect and analyze data, identify patterns and trends and make logical conclusions.

Administer payroll and benefits specific to the GW Excel Center and host applicable training.

Foster a positive work culture and employee engagement initiatives.

Required Skills
-
High school diploma or equivalent. BS degree in Human Resources or related field preferred: PHR Certification a plus.

Proven work experience as an HR. business partner. Minimum of 2 + years.

Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to learn new HRIS systems and come with demonstrable experience with HR metrics.

Creative thinking with confidence, decision making abilities and a strategic mindset.

Analytical and goal oriented.

Thorough knowledge of labor laws to ensure compliance with HR regulations.

Excellent networking skills and relationship-building acumen.

Exceptional time-management and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate Team Members scheduling.

Skyward SIS software experience preferred.

Experience working in a school district preferred.

Bilingual preferred.
