Job Title: Asset Protection Analyst

General Summary: The Asset Protection Analyst will be responsible for creating and analyzing profit-improving insights through the use of statistical analysis, relational database resources, and exception-based reporting (EBR) for the Asset Protection Department. The Asset Protection Analytics team will function in support of both Corporate and Field Asset Protection teams, as well as cross-functional partners across DSW Inc.

Reports to: Manager of Loss Prevention Analytics

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize the enterprise EBR application, case management software, and other sources of data to compile and package investigative insights for Field Asset Protection team.
Support Field Asset Protection with requests for ad hoc investigative research.
Identify companywide loss trends and create EBR patterns to resolve future occurrences.
Serve as a subject matter expert on the EBR application, providing training and guidance on the application to Field Asset Protection or other users.
Function as an administrator and provide maintenance for various Asset Protection analytical applications, such as the enterprise EBR and case menagement software.
Suggest and provide recommendations to improve asset protection internal controls and operating processes.
Compile and analyze data for recurring projects such as physical inventory hindsight, case management analysis, as well as new projects as they become necessary.

Qualifications

Experience:
1+ years of experience in a security, investigative, or business analyst role.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Access, and SQL

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the retail industry
Basic understanding of Asset Protection or Loss Prevention
Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques
