Provide technical assistance and training to ESC Region 13 clients to improve the efficiency of school operations through district use of Texas Computer Cooperative student administrative software.

Education/Certification:
  • Bachelors degree in information systems, or
  • Five (5) years successful experience in technology related fields in an educational setting
Experience:
  • Technical training experience in front of large groups and one on one with adults
  • Minimum of five (5) years iTCCS student information systems experience serving clients, preferred
  • Experience with student administrative software
  • Experience in RACF, TSO, JCL, CICS, JES2WEB, Eclient, and ODBC, preferred
  • Experience with Student information systems to include scheduling, grade reporting, attendance, grade book and parent access
  • Experience in self-directed and team work environments
  • Experience with Texas student accounting procedures and laws
  • Experience with Internet technologies and Internet based software
Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Knowledge of current technology
  • Knowledge of systematic planning strategies
  • Knowledge of trends, processes and procedures in school administration
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance to district personnel utilizing iTCCS student applications
  • Design, write and implement custom reports utilizing various software applications
  • Develop and compose appropriate level technical/training documentation
  • Use techniques to design, implement, and test program enhancements and new software applications
  • Assist and advise in development of procedures regarding the use of iTCCS software, third party software and system communications
  • Advise, assist and train school district technology departments on communication software/hardware to utilize iTCCS and related software programs effectively
  • Plan and conduct product awareness sessions for current and prospective clients
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and team members
  • Team player ready to share information as well as learn from others
  • Conduct professional development activities to ensure understanding of administrative software, third party software, system communication and PEIMS
  • Conduct timely iTCCS student application PEIMS training for iTCCS clients.
  • Ensure iTCCS clients meet the established ESC R13 and TEA PEIMS submission timelines
  • Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Employees also receive 10 vacation days, 10 personal leave days, and 3 optional holidays. As workload fluctuates, you have the opportunity to take flex and telecommute days to accommodate that balance.
