The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston is the city’s first and only hotel to receive the highly coveted AAA Five-Diamond Award. The 700,000 square-foot tower showcases over 250 luxury hotel rooms, more than 150,000 square-feet of boutique office space and 20 executive residences, all with dramatic interior finishes and unobstructed views of the surrounding neighborhoods and Downtown. The 38-story building also features an elegant and expansive ballroom, the largest in the Uptown area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Accountable for the overall performance and operation of the rooms division, including front desk, concierge, housekeeping/laundry, bellmen/doormen and valet.
Inspects rooms and observes workers and guests to ensure quality and productivity of housekeeping functions are held to highest of standards.
Implement policies, procedures and internal controls within directly assigned areas to ensure compliance with applicable laws, efficiency and proper controls.
Partners with senior management in reviewing proformas, budgets and financial results related to the rooms division. Accountable for CPOR and Rooms profitability as per approved financial model.
Works in conjunction with dorm to implement operational decisions on inventory as it pertains to room inventory and bar daily.
Forecasting costs, revenues and departmental profit should be within a 5% (+/-).
Responsible for GSS management in collaboration with senior executives. Responsible for all Forbes Five Star Standards as they pertain to rooms operations.
Analyze daily operations to proactively identify problem areas and implement solutions.
Assess service issues and promptly resolve.
Solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Impeccable attention to detail and sense of urgency in delivering exceptional customer service.
Display professional conduct, sound judgement, the highest level of professional integrity, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
Five (5) years of management experience in guest services, housekeeping, and sales within a luxury hotel
