The University Technology Office (UTO) Development team at ASU is seeking a highly motivated Web Accessibility Specialist to create, guide and support the accessibility of responsive web projects, mobile applications, and our growing base of cutting-edge products. UTO Dev is a diverse team of 90+ developers and analysts that provide robust, secure software and systems to the University community of students, faculty, and staff.

Our UX team plays a pivotal role in the strategy, conception and design of our innovative digital solutions. You must be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills in order to be flexible and responsive in our fast-paced collaborative peer environment.
Our web accessibility specialist will work closely with business analysts, project managers, developers, and project owners to evaluate websites and applications for accessibility, guide accessible design and development, and assist with the remediation of accessibility issues. You will have to effectively communicate and present accessibility findings for review and feedback.

The focus of this position is on ensuring that all ASU websites and applications are accessible. You’ll need to identify high-risk sections of the ASU web; develop creative ways to address web accessibility issues domain-wide; and work with diverse teams to develop accessibility plans and to direct accessibility efforts for the university. You’ll have to distill accessibility goals into well thought-out, actionable design, development and training projects.
