Under minimum supervision, this position is responsible for assisting in the discovery, development, implementation, and support of software applications across BSI, its affiliates and business units. This role will work with various teams across the organization to deliver quality application services and support information systems enablement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations.
  • Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.
  • Assures quality customer service to all customers.
  • Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.
  • Researches and performs analysis for requests for change and executes the activities required to complete the work order.
  • Ensures appropriate documentation complies with software development standards, policies and procedures or best practices.
  • Produces detailed and accurate estimates for time required to review technical specifications, perform design reviews, code reviews and unit testing for assigned projects and tasks.
  • Works closely with other functions within IT (e.g. Architecture, Infrastructure, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance) to ensure the highest quality software.
  • Interfaces with end-users to ensure their requirements are met.
  • Remains abreast of changes and developments in the blood banking industry related to regulations and standards and provides direction to implement required changes. Establishes and maintains a network of professional relationships.

REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Education

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Adequate knowledge of relation database system and Object Oriented programming required.
  • Understanding of full software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies required.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
Licenses/ Certifications

None.

Experience

  • Three years of work experience required.
  • Experience with source control software is a plus.
  • Proven working experience in web programming and with Content Management Systems and WEB UIs.
  • Proven working experience in web programming and with Content Management Systems and WEB UI/UX.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of an application development team; create structure code for integration into larger systems and document work for maintenance.
  • Front-end Developer
  • Proven working experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript libraries (Angular, ReactJS etc), jQuery and Bootstrap framework.
  • Experience working with CSS preprocessors Saas or Less.
  • Experience working with cross browser development, responsive and mobile design.
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET, C#, MVC and entity framework.
  • Familiarity with RESTful Services and APIs.
  • Back-end Developer
  • Proven working experience with ASP.NET, C#, MVC and entity framework.
  • Experience with HTML and CSS.
  • Skill for writing reusable libraries.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Understands what it means to write clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application.
  • Familiarity working with SharePoint and Web Parts.

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must have analytical, statistical, personal organization, and problem solving skills.
