Responsibilities:

- Primary engineer responsible for maintaining, improving, monitoring, and optimizing infrastructure (firewalls, switches, network storage, VMware cluster)

- Collaboration with other system/infrastructure engineers on projects and long-term environment improvement goals

- Conduct training sessions for junior IT staff and continuously contribute to documentation

- Provide primary support for anything that falls under the network infrastructure/WAN/hardware categories for our 14 offices

- Provide occasional support to helpdesk agents during high volume times

- Ability to plan projects and assess risks prior to engaging in tasks

Education/Training:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 5 years of experience in technical domains or equivalent experience in the IT Industry

Requirements:

- Advanced knowledge of networking (experience with Sonicwall and Extreme devices is a plus)

- Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain migrations

- Willingness to assist with desktop support issues in a timely fashion (Windows 7/10)

- Intermediate to advanced expertise in VMware and working in virtual environments (experience with ESXi and vCenter is a plus)

- Fundamental understanding of SAN management (experience with Dell Powervault is a plus)

- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Veeam and other backup technologies

- Intermediate proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, etc)

- Fundamental understanding of security best practices

- Must be a self-starter who also works well in a team environment

- Must be able to take direction and have the willingness to continuously learn

- Must be punctual and willing to assist in mission-critical situations

- Must be detail-oriented

- Experience with supporting multiple offices and remote users is a huge plus

- Experience with ticketing systems and remote access tools (experience with Desk.com and LMI Central is a plus)

- Must have excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Microsoft Server 2008/2012/2016, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, All Standard Operating Systems, Microsoft Remote Apps Server / Terminal Server, Network Printing, Xerox WorkCentre Administration, Sophos Cloud, VMware, VPN (SSL, IPSEC, etc.), Cloud/Local Data Protection, Disaster Recovery, Desktop Support, Mobile Device Support, Veeam, Share Point, Avaya experience preferred

Microsoft MCSE / CCNA/CCNP experience preferred

Switching, Routing, Firewall experience preferred
