You are a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and can provide problem-solving leadership. You're highly collaborative, open-minded, persistent and strategic – all vital attributes in order to interact successfully with internal and external partners. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you will provide Google-caliber relationship development and agreement making. You'll anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key partners, and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. You possess a background in forging strategic partnerships and have an innate ability to communicate and collaborate with a broad range of constituents, including both internal and external senior executives. The role will require extensive work with internal Google teams spanning functions (e.g. Operations, Product Manager, Engineering, and Google Technical Services). You will also influence senior stakeholders internally and externally by developing a point of view on Go-to-Market strategies.

You have the opportunity to get involved in the scaling and incubation of Google Shopping local product offerings. Part of the role will focus on scaling Local Inventory Ads through third parties such as Point-of-Sale or Inventory Management technology partners. This is a global initiative that will require pitching, negotiating and implementing partnerships in various regions that may include the Americas, EMEA, LATAM and APAC. The other part of the role will be focused on creating, presenting and incubating new local shopping products.

In this role, you'll lead exploratory discussions with prospective partners that help to power Shopping Ads and transactions. This may include partnerships that enable Manufacturer Center, the Shopping Catalog, Product Reviews, Seller Ratings, and more, and may include work across the Americas, LATAM, and APAC. In addition, this position will work across new transactions experiences within Shopping.
Success in both areas will rely on your ability to negotiate complex deals, forge new partnerships, and navigate ambiguity. You will need to immerse yourself in in the commerce & retail space along with have a deep understanding of Google’s local products in order to influence both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
Source, lead, pitch and negotiate with a focus on emerging products across Google Shopping.
Develop deep understanding of Google products, strategy and values and their application to brands, retailers and logistics service providers.
Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams to develop strategy and business plans for emerging shopping products and features.
Structure strategic plans using a One-Google approach with key partners, and lead the identification and execution of complex deals.
Present recommendations and key issues to the Google management team.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:
6 years of experience in negotiation, technology and retail.
Experience identifying and working with strategic partners, structuring and quantifying agreement structures.
Experience operating within and leading cross-functional teams (e.g. Product Management, Legal, Finance, Marketing etc).

Preferred qualifications:
MBA and/or JD.
Experience working with international partners.
Experience in a start-up or other entrepreneurial role.
Familiarity with Google Shopping’s Local Inventory Ads and Local Shopping in general. Knowledge of the Point of Sale or Inventory Management industry.
Ability to value agreements and partnerships with limited input and has comfort with varying business models.
Detail orientated, entrepreneurial, creative, open-minded, highly collaborative, developed problem solving abilities, analytical skills, and business judgment. Developed presentation skills.
