Lead Hydroformer and Tube Mill Setup Technician - 1st & 2nd Shift
Job Overview:
As the Lead Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all technical aspects of our hydroformer, trimmer, and tube mill setups, ensuring their successful completion within the designated time frame and budget. You will be working closely with our engineering, production, and maintenance teams, providing technical guidance, training, and support to ensure the smooth implementation of projects. You will also be responsible for leading inventory management of hydroforming and tube mill tooling and accessories. You will also learn every aspect of the hydroformer, trimmer, and tube mill setup so you can be a backup technician and trainer as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and oversee daily technical operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, task delegation, evaluating, and disciplining.

Lead a team of technicians in the execution of various setup and production-related projects.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring their professional development and growth.

Involve in daily setup activities to monitor project progress and address any technical issues that may arise.

Collaborate with the engineering team to create detailed setup procedures and processes, specifications, spare part inventory, and improvement projects.

Collaborate with the production team to create and maintain detailed setup plans.

Assist in the procurement of necessary materials and equipment for projects.

Always ensure and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports and setup documentation.

Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all work meets the required standards.

Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

Lead the implementation and maintenance of tooling inventory and 6S in the assigned areas.
Job Requirements:

Must have a minimum of two-year college degree in any mechanical or technical field from a USA accredited school system or at least 5 years’ experience in a lead technician position in a manufacturing environment or combination of the education requirement or job experience.

Must be able to use and analyze data using excel and other related software.

Must have background in manufacturing, production, automotive, or related fields.

Must have authorization to work in the USA.
