13 years of experience in management consulting, real estate planning, finance or corporate strategy.
Experience in leading global project teams and initiatives with multi-region stakeholders.
Experience in facilitating alignment across global stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree.
Experience leading operational and strategic initiatives with global real estate or workforce planning components. Experience in strategy, change management and rolling-out large scale initiatives, including developing analytical models and using presentations.
Experience in people management and activating projects, programs and/or marketing and brand strategies in a diverse global landscape. Ability to lead an organization through change.
Track record of working with stakeholders to achieve impact.
Track record of managing and delivering against multiple global projects simultaneously. Ability to create effective relationships and influence/collaborate at all organizational levels.
Outstanding communication skills.
About the job
The Strategic Portfolio Planning team is responsible for building our understanding of the short-, medium- and long-term space needs of Google’s business. The team works in close partnership with the entire global Real Estate team to ensure that our global real estate plans delivers clear solutions to complex real estate needs of Google. As the Global Strategic Portfolio Planning Director, you will lead an organization of Real Estate Planners, Campus Planners and Business Planners in building the processes and partnerships that enable us to anticipate and support Google’s ever evolving needs. You’ll directly lead multiple complex, cross-functional global projects and work closely with global stakeholders and business leaders to define and deliver high impact projects and programs, inspiring and mobilizing your team to deliver impact for all of REWS and Google.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work - from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.

Responsibilities
Build organizational support and capabilities to act on strategies and recommendations.
Define the team’s strategy and direction, coach/develop team members, remove roadblocks. Guide the team towards the highest impact opportunities, optimizing for the performance and effectiveness of the function.
Lead operational and strategic initiatives, from conception to conclusion. Prioritize across multiple projects, drawing on sound business judgment and an understanding of context and business goals. Be a strategic thought partner to REWS business leaders and teams.
Create presentations with compelling messages tailored to different audience levels. Drive recommendations through to implementation and results.
Align the Strategic Portfolio Planning organization’s resources towards business priorities. Support the team/organization’s performance and success through organizational design, long-term planning and business insight. Enable the business to make sound investments and decisions through your team’s evaluation of risk/benefit.
