We are looking for an experienced Internal Communications professional to join Raytheon’s Intelligence, Information and Services Employee Engagement team.
This position is responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to enhance and drive the employee experience across the business’ 16 major sites. Leads communications planning and execution for a number of business critical programs, including - but not limited to - Diversity and Inclusion, Ethics, Performance and Career Development, and Community Relations.
The position will serve as a trusted communications adviser, analyzing situations/challenges, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities, providing recommended courses of action, then developing and executing effective communications in support of business priorities. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is a strong team player with a drive to explore new and creative ways to engage with our global team of 16,000+ employees. He/she must be comfortable with technology; curious, adaptable and able to implement, manage and act on measurement/metrics and analytics.
8+ years of internal and/or external communications experience
Superior written, verbal and social communications skills
Dedicated team player with exceptional attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to independently lead and complete projects as part of a cross-functional team
Exceptional interpersonal, client consultation and problem-solving skills
Strong executive presence and experience with executive coaching/counsel
Effective public speaking skills with demonstrated ability to present ideas and information in an impactful and understandable way
Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with all levels of employee, management and external organizations
Capable of visual storytelling and message simplification
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time, organize and accurately prioritize work across multiple projects, be detail-oriented, work within deadlines and understand when urgency is required
Ability to conduct research and analyze data to shape recommendations and drive decisions
Mastery of U.S. English grammar and Associated Press style

Experience communicating to a geographically diverse employee population, including non-desk and/or non-intranet connected employees
Experience and/or familiarity with Human Resources communications and employee experience initiatives
Knowledge of, and experience in, the aerospace and defense industry
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or related field. Masters is preferred.
