About NerdLevels:

NerdLevels offers game and web development courses to teenagers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our curriculum is also taught in high schools around the country. It will be available for purchase in the 2019-2020 school year.

Job Brief:

We are seeking a qualified Sales Associate to help sell our game and web development courses to new customers. Responsibilities include strategizing the best opportunities and areas to sell our courses, researching sales opportunities, and utilizing marketing materials to connect with customers. Qualified candidates will generate leads, build relationships, and identify existing or potential sales opportunities.

Our ideal candidate has a clear understanding of the benefits of our courses, is able to identify and connect with customers, and be a team player within our small educational startup.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent NerdLevels courses by having a comprehensive understanding of our courses and curriculum
  • Create a sales plan/strategy
  • Define customers and lead reach-out efforts
  • Generate leads and build relationships
  • Set and achieve sales goals
  • Identify and implement new opportunities/prospects to reach potential customers
  • Research and analyze data and adjust sales techniques accordingly
  • Monitor competitor information to ensure we are competitive and appropriately meeting customer needs
  • Create and maintain relationships with various advertising outlets

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years sales experience
  • Sales plan creation experience
  • Proven record of sales growth
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Educational service sales experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Motivated to work from home as part of a startup

Work Environment:

This is a work from home opportunity. Candidates must use their own computer. Position will report to the Integrated Marketing Manager. Most contact with colleagues will be done electronically or by phone.

Travel:

There will be some local (San Francisco Bay area) travel to attend events to directly speak and sell to customers. There is the potential for US based travel to attend conferences.
