AICI is seeking a Full Time Procurement Engineering Design Engineer (PEDE) to assist the Procurement Engineering Design Manager (PEDM), the primary coordinator, of all U.S. material procurement and engineering efforts for specific projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the preparation of project deliverables, in the development of a project bill of materials and preparation of packages and issues for supplier quotation.
Contributes to internal or external technical meetings
Improves the quality of service to achieve best value and best practice.
Performs Procurement engineering evaluation, commercial grade dedication, and item equivalency evaluations in support of site operations, maintenance and engineering departments
Coordinates with QA on Procurement related matters (Inspection, Vendor substitutes, and Technical discrepancies).
Provides field and engineering experience expertise to the procurement officers.
Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among AICI
Tracks the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders
Contacts suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
Prepares, maintains, and reviews procurement files, reports and price lists.
Provides support & information to all project levels
Builds up a portfolio of approved suppliers
Receives and produces comparative analysis of material quotations.
Assists in managing and processing submittal data.
Performs material take-offs.
Assists in the development of engineering solutions.
Represents the company to the United States Government.
Develop and maintain supplier, subcontractor, and client relations.
Performs any other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or Construction Management from an accredited institution
Minimum 0-2 years experience
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Excellent computer skills, interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to travel overseas
Excellent planning, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform a variety of tasks
Courteous, professional, diplomatic. High level of confidentiality
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to obtain and maintain or currently hold a Department of Defense security clearance
Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
Be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures.
Construction industry experience
PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS: Reaching above and below, stooping and bending. Lifting/carrying/moving 1 to 15 pounds of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skills. Requires a high degree of concentration in a busy office environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Office environment. Flexibility with hours is required.
