We are actively recruiting an Director of Sales to join our team based in Auburn, Alabama. This is a full-time position located in the Auburn Corporate Office.
Qualified candidates must::
· Live within a 45 minute commute or willing to relocate to the area (Relocation expenses will be paid by the company)
· A minimum of 5 years experience managing sales teams
· A minimum of 2 years experience managing outside sales teams
· A minimum of 3 years experience managing inside sales teams
· Be a SalesForce expert with the ability to coach and train new sales reps on how to use the software
· Have a proven track record of managing, coaching, mentoring, motivating and promoting sales individuals.

Requirements:
- Must live within 45 minutes commute of Auburn, Alabama or willing to relocate to the area.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field or equivalent experience.
- At total of 8-10 years of proven sales experience both as a sales rep and a manager.
- Demonstrated success in both Sales and Sales Management with proven success identified in progressive career and promotions and opportunities.
- 5+ years of sales training and leadership experience in industry with proven results. Managing, motivating and coaching both outbound and inbound teams
- SalesForce expert
- Consultative industrial asset sales experience (not consumables)
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to learn and eventually provide deep understanding of the Sonic products, manufacturing processes, and industry standards is crucial for effective communication with clients and for guiding the sales team in presenting technical details accurately. Able to articulate the “customer value proposition” clearly and understand how to identify value with the customer to keeping to evolving this.
- Market Insight: Being knowledgeable about the Auto/Aviation/MFG landscape, including market trends, competitors, and customer needs, helps in identifying opportunities and crafting strategies that align with the market's demands.
- Leadership Skills: The ability to lead and motivate a sales team is paramount. A successful Sales Director should inspire, guide, and mentor the team to achieve sales targets, fostering a positive and goal-oriented environment. Experience managing a sales team of 15+ direct commercial salesforce that is 50-75% outbound.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills in sales and sales management:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management-level staff in the department.
- Coaches and motives sales team using proven methodologies.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the departments.
- Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Strategic Thinking: A Sales Director should think beyond immediate sales and develop long-term strategies that enhance market penetration, customer retention, and profitability. This involves analyzing data, setting targets, and creating effective sales plans.
- Strategic product planning experience
- Relationship Building: Building strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners is essential for sustained business growth. A skilled Sales Director should be adept at networking, negotiating contracts, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Experience and history of working for a growing company with increase revenue year after year.
- Experience with CRM software such as SalesForce or other CRM system required.
- Excellent communicator with individuals at all levels of the organization; exhibiting strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience preparing regular reports and presentations on sales metrics for executive team
- Quick learner with ability to obtain working knowledge of the company’s products, competitive products and the market.
- An understanding and awareness of competitors’ activities to maintain competitive advantage.
- Experience directing sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly;
- Ability to develop effective sales incentive programs which support company’s goals for growth;
- Sharp analytical skills with the ability to interpret, summarize and derive insights from large data sets to drive decision making and problem-solving.
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the organization's revenue generation practices.
- Ability to identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline revenue growth.
- Experience establishing and administering the department's budget.

We offer a base salary of $120-140K based on proven experience plus bonus opportunity based on results achieved.
