POSITION SUMMARY
The VP- Sales handles direct sales responsibilities for national accounts. This role also assists with managing sales staff as well as directing activity to ensure client satisfaction and profitability for assigned business.

Job Responsibilities
Defines a sales force structure which oversees sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets for the business.
Assists sales staff with new business proposals and presentations.
Supports sales staff with general and specific actions and planning to ensure client satisfaction and business profitability.
Assist in sales and business planning to ensure corporate goals are met and provides detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
Develops plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals and directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.
Ensures communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets organizational expenditure requirements.
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, sales and marketing or related field
Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
10+ years progressive sales experience
8+ years in a leadership role
Routine travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
