GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

Performs secretarial duties for Director, Assistant Director, Detention Supervisors, and Medical Department.
Collects and organizes data, keeps statistics, types forms, dictation, reports and correspondence. Inputs
information using personal computer and other office equipment. Creates forms and assists in the calculation
and input of payroll. Prepares and maintains a 24 hour 7 day a week schedule for D.Y.C.S. and Supervisors.
Serves as facility receptionist by directing/returning phone messages, routing public/professional visitors, and
coordinating appointments. Assists the Detention Supervisor in the operation of the detention monitor and
security system.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent. Some college classes in area of business preferred. One to two years of
experience in detention facility. Basic typing and computer skills and basic concept of scheduling of payroll is
helpful. Ability to analyze data and manage resources.

INDIVIDUAL MUST SUCCESSFULLY PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST.
