Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
Looking for a PA or NP in Radiation Oncology Clinic. Radiation oncology specific experience is not required, but preferred, Medical Oncology experience is also helpful There is no radiation exposure in this job. We have a great group of physicians, that are easy to get along with. This job is specifically on the inpatient side. You will be responsible for seeing the inpatient consults, presenting them to the physician on call, maintaining the inpatient list and coordinating the care of inpatients. This job is 4-5 days per week, 5-6 hours per day.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively communicate and interact with patients, family, coworkers, hospital personnel
- Ability to see new consults efficiently, present to physician on call, write detailed consults and coordinate inpatient care.
- Review inpatient list on a daily basis and keep physicians updated with any changes
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments including maintaining patient list
- Ability to learn, retain, and utilize computer skills that are required for department
- Ability to think critically and problem solve
- Oncology experience
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required
