We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning to family legacy intentions. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, and both individual and institutional retirement.
WIM has embarked on a multi-year initiative called WIM Next Generation to transform from its current federation of businesses that collaborate to ONE WIM line of business that is better, faster, and simpler. Our new model will enable growth, enhance our ability to serve our clients, make us competitive in today’s dynamic environment, and position us to reach our full potential.
Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM), a WIM business, manages about $500bn in client assets across a broad array of investment options in all major asset classes with active fundamental and systematic strategies. The firm has been investing heavily in broadening the product platform and investment capabilities. The Product & Strategy team within WFAM has a mandate to: a) develop overall firm-wide strategy and explore business development opportunities, b) identify client needs early in order to rapidly conceive of and develop market-leading solutions, and c) manage the existing product platform, ensuring it stays relevant.
We are seeking a Director of Strategy to join our Product & Strategy team. The strategy professionals on the team closely partner with the CEO and leadership team to build and execute against a plan to drive growth and help position the organization for future success. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Product & Strategy and other members of the WFAM leadership team (CEO, distribution heads, CIOs, etc.) to address the most critical initiatives of the firm by identifying, analyzing, prioritizing, and resolving high-value issues. Projects can cover US and international distribution strategy and business plans, topics related to the investment platform and teams, and product related issues. The role will dual report to the Global Head of Product & Strategy for WFAM and the Director of Strategic Planning and Development for Wealth and Investment Management; the successful candidate will be a member of the Product & Strategy Leadership Team. This a player-coach role – it requires oversight of other strategy consultants at varying levels of seniority, but the individual filling this role will also need to manage and run their own projects. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned strategy professional who can draw from experience in an asset management consulting capacity and a strategy or product role in the industry.
