You will assess the SACC program operations and monitor the progress toward program goals.
You will stay current with evidence-based practices in behavioral health; utilizes program metrics, tools, and techniques related to substance misuse prevention and treatment to make program improvements
You will organize work, set priorities and determine resource requirements for all counseling center staff
You will determines short and long term goals and strategies to achieve priorities for all components of SACC programs
You will develop tools for monitoring social work effectiveness to integrate into process improvement initiatives.
You will maintain effective working relationships with Command and installation specific services; local state, and federal organizations; legal and other medical and behavioral health agencies
You will develops data bases, revises and implements professional service plans, business plans, and standard operating procedures in accordance with health accreditation standards, DoD and Federal law
You will educate and train on matters involving suicide prevention, stress and anger management, substance abuse, or other social issues to maintain mission readiness.
You will plan and schedule ongoing work to be accomplished by all staff including administrative, clinical, prevention and drug demand reduction

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
This position requires working within an office or clinic setting in which clients may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, emotionally charged or have a contagious disease.
This position required 4 years post-licensure experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role in substance abuse or co-occurring program preferred.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Oversees a program that performs complex highly technical, administrative, and professional psycho-social work, mange outpatient treatment to a diverse client population, directs a team of professionals including health care providers, and manages budget and supply management for the substance abuse program.

Must possess a Substance Abuse Certification (Alcohol and Drug Counselor II, OR an International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium substance abuse counselor certification, OR a state equivalent) acquired through passing a proctored exam, from a state or nationally accredited certifying body.
This position is a TIER THREE clinical care provider. Applicants must meet all of the following qualifications as outlined in SECNAVINST 1754.7A: and MCO 5300.17A:
1. Possess a State or U.S. territory license or certification that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner, OR a clinical license as a Professional Licensed Counselor.
When the state or US. territory licensing or certification requirements include a written examination, candidates for privileging, must have achieved a passing score on that examination.
2. Possess at least a master's degree in ONE of the following clinical fields:
(a). Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) or an equivalent degree.
(b). Social Work from an accredited school or an equivalent degree.
(c). Psychology from a doctoral program approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) or an equivalent degree.
3. Have engaged in 2 years, that includes at least 2,000 hours, full-time, post-master's supervised clinical experience.

Must have successfully completed a degree in Social Work that fulfills all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. OR,
Must have successfully completed a master's degree in Social Work with practicum.
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:
