IDM Groups is looking to hire an experienced Network Engineer/Consultant with strong operation and maintenance manual writing skills, and strong knowledge and experience of Cisco networking to assist with implementation of network infrastructure. You will help the Network Engineering team to design and deploy a new network infrastructure comprising several segregated networks (Wired & Wireless). You will be part of a team that designs and supports Network infrastructures. You will work with customers to achieve common business goals and gather requirements. Provide quality work and ensure adequate planning and testing. Provide on-site support as necessary in deploying and implementation, and troubleshooting of the network including the following:
- Research, test, and validate new content while writing
- Partner with the product vendor to get details about features
- Create design, deployment, and test documents using Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Assist Network Infrastructure team in troubleshooting the problems arising from modifications, installation and general operation of the infrastructure system.
- Assist with testing, implementation, and documentation of new technologies and their integration with existing infrastructure.
- Assess network infrastructure, security, and monitoring for optimal functionality.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
Qualifications
Certification Requirement: CCIE highly preferred, Certifications in a relevant field (CCNP, JNCIS) or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, engineering, or Math.
Understanding of industry language and ability to interact cross-functionally with different departments. Work collaboratively across technical teams. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with complex written and visual documentation. Work effectively as a team player or independently. A good customer driven team-oriented attitude.
Proven experience of creating Content Design/Architecture based on unique needs.
Experience working in a continuous deployment and agile environment where content needs to be updated regularly and rapidly
2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and working with:
- Technical writing skills
- Network Operating Systems (Cisco IOS)
- Cisco routers and switches (Cisco Catalyst 9200-9500 Series Switches)
- Switching- Virtual Switching System (VSS), Spanning Tree, Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Firewalls, Cisco FirePower or experience with Palo Alto Networks next generation firewalls
- Strong understanding of MPLS, Multicast
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
- Monitoring and ensuring the quality and maintainability of all deployed technologies
- Cisco wireless technology including Wireless LAN Control (WLC) configuration and Cisco Prime Infrastructure
- Experience with QoS configuration
- Working knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library(ITIL)/Service
- Change Management business practices
