Allegiant Stadium, located in Las Vegas, NV, will be the future home of the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League and the UNLV Rebels of the NCAA Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision. The 65,000 seat, 1.75 million square foot, state of the art domed stadium will also host many world-class sporting and entertainment events, including the 2020 and 2021 Pac-12 Football Championship, and will serve as the annual site of the Las Vegas Bowl. The stadium will also host large trade and corporate shows, public gatherings, private events, and a robust tour program.
Reporting to the VP, Information Technology at Allegiant Stadium, the Manager of IPTV Systems is responsible for the reliable operation and maintenance of all facility IPTV related systems as well as coordinating content development and management related to Cisco Vision. The Manager, IPTV Systems will be responsible for maintaining a high standard for customer facing display elements and work to leverage new developments to the Cisco Vision system and related technologies to exceed the industry standard for IPTV system deployments.
Responsible for overseeing Cisco Vision upkeep, maintenance and administration. Perform necessary primary system, DMP and associated device software updates.
Directly supervise support staff to provide guidance with in-depth troubleshooting across the overall system inclusive of the head-end and Connected Stadium to identify issues affecting standard Cisco Vision operations.
Drive weekly meetings to ensure understanding of upcoming events and operational requirements from Cisco Vision per event.
Integrate and maintain data sources for data driven Cisco Vision elements. (i.e. Menu Boards, NFL stats, RSS/ATOM feeds/any other custom integrations)
Directly supervise, train and provide support for a team of TV Systems Technicians, as well as establish and maintain best practices for Cisco Vision Event Day Operations.
Provide front line support for remote Cisco TAC engineer and development teams for issues necessitating developer support.
Facilitate future hardware deployments as necessary, driven by evolving management expectations.
Develop new content types leveraging Cisco Vision capabilities to provide new sponsorship sales opportunities and to enhance the guest experience.
Effectively identify and provide for customer needs and requirements involving Cisco Vision operations including head-end and Connected Stadium.
Serve as the primary designer for Cisco Vision elements as well as zone/group assignments, customer interfaces and custom configurations. (i.e. Menu Boards, Box Office Graphics, Stats Based Elements/Tickers, Welcome/Matchup Graphics, 3rd Party Control Icons, Touch Screen Controllers etc.)
Develop and document interconnected processes for stadium operations that link customer needs with system capabilities.
A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) in a related technical area
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience managing Cisco Vision system.
Experience working with Cisco Vision 6.1 and higher or similar template-based internal multicast distribution solution is strongly preferred. Thorough knowledge and understanding of how to configure and operate Cisco Vision coupled with a broad understanding of the overall system topology (head-end configuration, Connected Stadium, Group & Zone assignments, etc.). This includes, but is not limited to:
Script creation / editing
Zone and group manipulation
Content ingestion (into Cisco Vision)
System health checks/verification (limitations?)
Supports deployment of new DMP hardware via Cisco Vision
Supports venue events as defined by the contract

A background in IT/Web including Flash, MySQL, Unix command line familiarity, HTML5/CSS3 standards.
A strong background in content creation for an HD broadcast environment including still graphics, motion graphics and video. Required knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite elements, including but not limited to After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, and Audition.
Effective communication, time and customer management skills.
Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Be a self-starter that is highly organized and requiring little supervision, with the ability to effectively prioritize and drive closure across an array of tasks.
Experience working with content development tools and the ability to modify content to meet content specifications.
Ability to work weekends, holidays and evenings as required.
Ability to understand basic cabling and connectivity diagrams that enable troubleshooting of interconnected devices.
Capable of providing system administration and troubleshooting. Experience in performing periodic system upgrade, maintenance as well as back-ups to ensure optimal system performance.
Communicate effectively across many departments as well as with Cisco support if additional troubleshooting is required.
Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):
Experience in a remote support role and the availability to support on site staff during event operation hours.
Comfortable working in high-pressure environment requiring real-time decision-making.
Excellent communication skills and can effectively work with all functions across matrix organization to achieve desired results.
Experience working with head-end (content packet encoding and distribution across an IP network) and router/switching configurations.
Understand new customer requirements as they pertain to enhancements and potential sales opportunities.
Experience working with system software to operate an IT and content-based environment. (ie. Terminal/SSH).
