The Creative Services Marketing Producer, Writer, Editor is responsible for the strategic conceptualization, compelling writing, and solid editing of a variety of on air and digital station and news promotion for our Boston based Triopoly group: NBC10Boston, Telemundo Boston and New England Cable News, NECN.

This position works closely with the VP of Marketing and Branding and the Promotion Manager as well as the Creative Services Director, Designers, and the News Department.

We are looking for a strong and gifted writer who is a broad thinker with a wealth of experience in digital and social platforms, He/she should immerse themselves in our products with the ability to communicate clear messages in new and creative ways. The ideal candidate will help conceptualize and execute promotion for our Investigative/Consumer unit as well as image campaigns, attend daily news meetings, produce daily topical and franchise promotion, and create advertising campaigns for special news and station projects.

Produces on-air, digital and outside media promotion for the station.
Conceptualizes, writes, produces, edits and shoots for station marketing
Produces daily topicals, special projects and/or image campaigns.
Participates in station-sponsored events and all assigned special promotions projects.
Work closely news producers, reporters and news managers to obtain information and video for
production of topical promos for on air and digital.
Conceptualize, write, edit, produce and/or shoot image campaigns to entrench and to extend station brands.
Conceptualize, write, edit, produce and/or shoot additional video and graphic projects as requested.
Helps to plan and to execute events and station community efforts.
Identify key series pieces and lead stories for daily news programs and produce compelling advertising that recruits viewership.
Researches and writes scripts for spots, vignettes and other promotions.
Selects video and coordinates the graphic design production for digital, social and television spots.
Provides creative concepts and ideas for spots.
Prepares storyboards for news and special spots.
Assists with daily promotion placement in Wide Orbit traffic system.
Maintains look of video, vignettes, graphic presentations and scripts consistent with station production values.

Qualifications/Requirements

A minimum of 5 years experience in promotion, advertising, marketing, or other related creative field.
Work a flexible schedule if necessary
Local TV News promotion experience a must
Strong creative writing experience
Interested candidates must submit a resume
Must be 18 years or older
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
