We are currently seeking a full-time Statewide Psychiatric Director based out of our Regional Office in Jefferson City, Missouri. This position ahybrid rolethatrequires occasional travel to our Regional Office and facilities throughout the state.
The Statewide Psychiatric Director provides the comprehensive psychiatric, clinical, and utilization management direction needed to meet the service delivery requirements of a specific contract in collaboration with the Vice President of Operations (VPO) and/or Regional Vice President of Operations (RVP). The Statewide Psychiatric Director mentors, clinically supervises, and evaluates the team-delivered psychiatric services for the patients at all facilities of the contract and promotes the culture of quality psychiatric care using evidence-based standards of care. This professional serves as the contracts clinical expert, provider resource, clinical and psychiatric management leader, and clinical outcomes driver while representing correctional healthcare to the client and the contracts providers.
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
Board certification in Psychiatry required
Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration and MO BNDD
1-2 years of clinical leadership required
Correctional healthcare experience preferred
Ability to pass credentialing and background check
