SUMMARY
Hulu’s Finance team is seeking a Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. As a Manager, Corporate FP&A, you will report to the Director of Corporate FP&A, and will play an integral role in providing business leaders meaningful financial insights in Hulu’s personnel and compensation spend and data analyses to drive business decisions. The right person for this role has proven experience in the role and possesses excellent business acumen, strong analytical and communication skills, ability to partner and work cross-functionally in a multi-facet organization, and sets a high bar for him/herself. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Drive the process for company-wide annual headcount planning and quarterly forecasting, including all personnel and incentive compensation related cost line items with high level of accuracy
Oversee the month-end close process for headcount and related personnel costs, such as monthly journal entries, preparing monthly reports and providing variance analyses of actuals against targets
Create and manage the process of transitioning headcount and personnel planning from excel worksheets into recently implemented financial planning software tool, Adaptive Insights
Support the Talent & Organization business partners in planning, forecasting and reporting their annual operating budgets by providing valuable insights in their key business metrics and identifying pertinent financial highlights that will enable business leaders to determine progress against budgets
Partner with Talent & Organization business partners to provide financial analyses on real estate capacity planning
Provide support in setting the annual company performance metrics process by providing insightful financial analyses, and help track quarterly performance against targets
Prepare and present executive-level presentations related to headcount and personnel planning and financial analyses
Manage and develop a currently small, but potentially growing team of strong finance analysts
Provide financial analysis support for major compensation program re-designs
Lead or support any ad-hoc projects and financial analyses as needed, particularly in projects involving headcount
WHAT TO BRING
5+ years of professional experience with demonstrated success in the key responsibilities for this role
High proficiency in Excel and proven technical skills in building intuitive and agile financial models
Expert in PowerPoint and use of graphical displays of data for executive presentations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate and interact with all levels of the organization
Facility with quantitative data analysis and using data to drive decision-making
Ability to project manage and drive progress forward
Exceptional attention to detail and passion for accurate, high-quality work
A high sense of urgency, ability to multi-task and work under pressured timelines
Experience in building and leading successful teams
NICE-TO-HAVES
Media, digital, and/or tech experience ideal
Management or consulting experience
Experience with using enterprise systems such as Workday HRIS, Workday Financials and Adaptive Insights
Strong accounting knowledge
