About the Job
This job is responsible for maintaining the organization's accreditation status by providing ongoing coordination, support, monitoring, education, evaluation, and consulting to organization leaders in maintaining and developing the accreditation management program. This role has system-wide responsibilities which include providing support, education, and consulting to multiple campuses, affiliates, and licenses.
Some Highlighted Responsibilities
Maintain understanding of current standards, requirements and regulations of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the State of Texas including JCAHO hospital accreditation requirements, CMS Conditions of Participation and Texas State Hospital licensing requirements and facilitate organization compliance with these requirements.
Educate leaders, staff, and medical staff, and other stakeholders on accreditation process and requirements
Coordinate assessment, monitoring, and improvement activity associated with meeting applicable standards and requirements
Coordinate on-site surveys and mock surveys and consultations
Prepare and present reports on compliance status
Coordinate organization sustainability plan for ongoing readiness
Provide staff support to committees and work groups charged with accreditation steering and oversight
Required: 2 years’ experience in a healthcare regulatory position
Required: 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred: Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience
